I bought a used Leaf the day I signed up for the Tesla Model 3 with the thought that it would be a test to determine whether an electric car would really fit our family car requirements. We’ve put 20k miles on it! And two of my coworkers bought a Leafs (both very Jalop car guys) after my experience.

I actually bought it. Embarrassment is for the insecure.

As I’ve only been fond of the C1 and the C7 (fight me), I’ve never looked more than a glance at the C3 so never noticed the interior.

Guilty on all counts! It’s just that we were disappointed in even the CRV-style AWD in our 2013 RDX the very few times we needed to get out of tight spot. The torque limit was close to zero on the rear wheel transfer unit. It did get some great mileage on the highway and fit the bill nicely with two little kids.

So the current RDX does not have SH-AWD. Ask us why we upgraded to an MDX.

Awesome! I better see this thing driving around Chapel Hill ALL THE TIME. Of course now I’m looking at the Honda Beats that Duncan is selling.

Leather, LED headlights and the ability to pre-cool the interior with your phone.

Had the same thing happen driving my Dad’s Sunbeam Tiger. Funny how the fact that you have tools in the trunk of a British sports car of that era is an absolute given.

I like the new focus (pun intended) on headlights as an integral part of a safe car. Not just how bright they are, but how they are aimed and any fancy tech that helps the driver see.

E90 M sport! (Bleh... it’s probably a 1.2L 3 cylinder diesel)

Go get an oil change at your local Kia dealership. Then try to tell me they shouldn’t have badged this as a Genesis.

So... does this exist “IRL” as the kids say? Like is it a physical concept car or just a well designed simulation in this video game?

Got the forgettable Opel Meriva for a rental car in Belgium. Only cool thing was the rear suicide doors.

This is the car I tell parents to buy their kids when they turn 16.

North Carolina, about an hour fromVIR. Craigslist is currently littered with decent miatas (decent at first glance of course) right now. A few track rats already built and a few very cheap 1.6 cars with 1.8 guts.

Hmmm. I voted crack pipe (I would expect a more track oriented and sorted Miata for this price) until I saw it had the Torsen type 2.

Seems the new Honda Accord Sport may fit the bill nicely. Enormous back seats for those rear facing seats (UNTIL THEY ARE TWO). Available with a stick too. (Although I deign to suggest it, it comes with an automatic too)

It’s not the styling that’s the problem for me, it’s the size. The Bolt is a foot shorter than a Leaf. And narrower. TWO feet shorter than a Model 3.

Starred for attempting to hoon an electric car. I drive my Leaf like it was stolen. It really epitomizes the “slow car fast” mantra for me. Deep in the inter webs someone imports a coilover kit for it! Might give that a whirl.
