VIR Grand West?

The Tiger bump is no joke. And yes, my dad had ‘remarkably good taste’ in ‘66 when he bought his new.

Now just try to find one that DOESN’T have:

Also, ‘95s have zero traction nannies with that sweet LSD. Drove one (sometimes sideways, looking out the side windows) for 10 years. Nice to hoon without having to hold down any buttons or change modes.

2007/2008 Acura TSX with the 6 speed. Use the extra $10k for whatever.

I’ll just leave this here...

...and make hatch-wagons.

List of dream cars, all manuals of course, in no particular order (THAT DON’T EXIST)****

I drove a mid to late 2000’s BMW X3 diesel manual around France for a week and would rather punch myself in the groin than do that again. Close-ratio 8 speed auto? Maybe. Row your own in a diesel? NOPE. Once the engine gets to RPMS that I consider exciting, you have to shift. And that’s just no fun for me.

For that F31, once you touch that M-Sport steering wheel, it must be yours. And that always pushes the options through the roof.

Yes, we’re in the US. Mexico got the 5 door 1 series and Canada may have gotten better optioned 3 series wagons... In America, we are supposed to buy the X3. :(

This article hit home.

My mechanic let me drive one down the street. Scary. My first time driving a 911 so I was already concentrating on the floor mounted clutch pedal engagement. The boost was digital.... nothing... then WHAM You get slammed into your seat, blink, and then you realize you have already run out of RPM.

I "worked" at an independent Porsche shop a few weeks in high school in the 90s (not very glamorous, but did get a ride in a then-new 996 turbo) and was driving my dad's '66 Sunbeam Tiger to work when the throttle shaft (not cable) snapped in half.

This exact scenario happened to me (see username photo for clue)...

BMW has always done a great job of styling their clutchless autos (SMG/DCT), and even their sport manu-matics (ZF with sport option) to appear less "1995 Honda Accord" than Audi.

I believe this still has the 6 speed. They just snuck the 9sp in the MDX last week.

I think you have seen them and thought them to be A4s. This happened to me recently - "Ooh I parked next to a new A4... What's this on the trunk? A3?" These are about the same size as my buddy's old '99 A4 sedan.
