Actually it’s a variant of the anglicized Irish girl’s name “Aisling”, pronounced Ash-ling, or Ash-lyn. It means dream or vision and it’s a popular name in Ireland.
Not a Newton fan but at what point does everyone realize he’s getting screwed and storm the field. Collectively speaking he’s getting the shaft. Maybe not race related. Maybe it’s just because he’s big. But either way he’s getting screwed and his career and life will be shorter because of it.
One particular difference I have noticed is the fluidity of motion in the original trilogy is superior to the CGI remakes. Watch the asteroid scene when the Falcon loops over to hide in the asteroid crater. The matte shot is smooth and seemless. The CGI version is jerky and the perspective is off.
The difference is practical effects have weight, presence, gravity. You know they are really there. Even if it’s not perfect you can’t deny they exists in meatspace.
What really bothered me is the amount of face time he was getting. There are scenes where the meat and bone actor’s face were seemingly intentionally concealed or darkened. Diego Luna spends the most of his time in the last scenes turning angrily away from the camera. And Mass Mikkleson, who has the most distinctive…
