The "holy shit" moment will be if they can get levels of performance approaching current Xbox 360/PS3 performance levels for $99. That's a load of "ifs" in one sentence but that's what it looks like they're going to try.

I don't see that at all. If anything, I think they will hold the line on price. All they're doing is adding controller capability to what's already in AppleTV from the looks of it. I seriously doubt they will suddenly jump into Xbox/PS price territory.
