In Indiana, worker's compensation is the exclusive remedy for injuries and death arising out of employment. The death benefit is something like 2/3 of average weekly wages for 500 weeks, plus a few thousand in burial benefits. I believe the maximum Indiana worker's comp death benefit is capped at $325,000.
