The guy on the big old-time bike at the beginning is a friend of mine. You won’t find a more dog, beer, golf-cart, LGBT, party, arts-friendly down anywhere else. Dunedin does have some transient slips...there is a guy from NY three slips down from my boat in one of the transient slots.

The best non-retirement, golf-cart friendly community in Florida is, hands-down, Dunedin, FL. Golf-cart friendly, waterfront, more breweries than probably any other town of its size.

I thought the ur-quattro was the short wheel base version of the quattro coupe?

What are these “snows” you speak of?

What is that gem parked in front of the yellow Mercedes?

I worked for a Toyota dealership in the Midwest back in the late 80s as a lot porter (part-time gig to supplement my day job). I got to drive one exactly like the photo to another Midwestern state for a dealer trade of a different color Supra. What should have taken 6 hours roundtrip, I did in 4.5 hours. My boss was

If you have a car that you use so infrequently that you have to worry about rodents using it as a home, then you shouldn’t own a car.

That scene in Stick where Moke says “WTF are you staring at” and Burt replies: “I don’t know, I’ve just never seen anybody with bunny eyes before” is one of the all-time greatest one-liners in movie history

The running boards of a 96 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer edition is the most perplexing modification I can see.

Can get a non-Lingenfelter with six-speed manual and LS2 6.0 litre engine with around 50K on the odometer for 10K less. Sorry, but the upgrade isn’t worth 10K in my book

These are actually cool events. Cadillac and MT teamed up for a “Driver’s Experience” similar to this probably 10 years ago. My brother and I attended the event in St. Pete, FL. In addition to some free food, drink and swag the experiences were cool. Acceleration test, autocross course and one other that escapes

I would have been perfectly fine going through life not having seen that. But now that I have, I will forever hate you. I don’t know you, never met you, but I hate you.

I have a 2003 GMC Yukon (last new vehicle I have, or will ever, purchase). 14 years and 95,000 miles and it has been as low maintenance as one could hope for. I hope to be driving it when it hits 200K in another 15 - 18 years.

I’m so stealing that second line.

Edd and Mike are the perfection combination of Ying and Yang. Mike, the exuberant and sometimes overly-enthusiastic deal maker and Edd, the chill guy who gets on with the task at hand regardless of make, model, style, age and appeal (or lack thereof) of any car Mike bestows upon him. Mercedes, Cobra replicas, old

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Just kidding David, I hope you are successful in each and every project to have the courage to take on.

I can’t figure out why any 4-star recruit (other than basketball) would pick Duke from that list?

It’s stories like this that have convinced me to never step foot in a dealership again or to pay cash. I haven’t been to a car dealership since 2003 (have purchased many vehicles from private sellers since) and I can’t even begin to image what would happen to my blood pressure. It’s a shame that these types of

Solid analysis. I can totally get behind your view on it. Thanks for the response to my comment.

I’m a car guy. I’m a Desert Storm vet. I don’t have PTSD but I do suffer from depression and anxiety. I think you are reading into it a bit too much or maybe you are a natural cynic. It’s nothing more that a story about a guy who found a little solace, joy and relaxation in a car build being shared on a car site.
