Now that folks are used to an at least partially curated experience, many are easily sold on the idea of getting software from an approved store instead of downloading it from a company you have never heard of. The big players like Autodesk don’t need a store to show their software is safe to install, smaller/newer…

That is really stupid. It should be perfectly legal to un-publish tweets as long as they are recorded elsewhere. As a matter of fact, I am pretty sure it is perfectly legal for the tweets to be deleted from twitter. There is no requirement for “records” to be kept in a specific form.
