You are so right, 40 deg AR is so crappy compared to all the other AR devices you can buy today... oh wait.

I would be really surprised if they can get it to under $1k in the next 3 years. Remember that this device does not connect to a computer, it is the computer. Compare this to VR where you need a $300 to $600 HMD plus a $1000 gaming-class computer to run it.

From what I read, the device is never opaque in that it never blocks outside light. It can appear that some images are opaque if the brightness of the rendered image is greater than the real world object it is in front of. My guess would be that brightly lit objects and actual light sources will always show through.

I cannot imagine them doing that. This is a limited (compared to VR standards) FOV device that has all computing power self contained. The design makes some very specific tradeoffs to combine images with the real world. VR and AR for now require very different devices.

First off, you lost are credibility as soon as you said “dope-as-hell”.

Since they are MS files that have been hex-edited, their signatures will be invalid and they SHOULD be identified by any good malware product and removed.

I have played all the base games in Window 10 and have never seen an ad.

Windows.old versions are kept for a month, so if you upgraded from 7 or 8 and then did the Fall Update [FU :)] within a month, there could be a lot of cruft.

ON that small of device, you should also drop to an elevated CMD prompt and run this command:

Here is a CMD file that will check all the boxes (that I know about) and run cleanup without asking any questions.

Or, you can do nothing and it will clean itself up after 28 to 30 days.

The whole point of the design is that it keeps your old OS install for a month so you can revert to it if you need to.

In VR, the background and _sets_ help immersion. For players that are joining via the 2D view, I agree, they should be able turn off anything that is not actually functional, but in VR, background items help make the room feel real, and do not get in the way because the FOV is so wide.

YouTube did not like the MS created app because it allowed you to save videos among other things. The threatened legal action and now we are stuck with the mobile site.

Taste is subjective. I only saw the pilot, but I liked it.

Taste in music is very individual and subjective. Listeners vote with their wallets and U2’s coffers are full. To suggest otherwise just makes you look like a tool.

4 votes... yea seems like a made their opinion clear. With it that close, someone should call for a revote.

“bypass severe processing steps“ ... Severe or several?

What he said!

Previous theater shootings have nothing to do with it. The crazy people that are going to shoot up the place do not expect to make it out alive, they WANT you to see their face.
