As far as I can tell, there is really nothing they can upgrade on the Surface 2. It does not need a faster processor because it can only run Windows Store apps. It does not need more RAM. I guess they could up the rez of the screen, but why?

Really? I would much rather type on my first-gen type-cover with its borderless keys than use the Chiclet style keyboard on the MacBook Pro. It is certainly a personal preference, but I like the borderless keys.

I heard that is one of the reasons they switched from Wacom to N-Trig. Looks like the new stylus requires a battery, but has extremely low latency and excellent accuracy all the way to the edges. (Of course, that is third hand. It will be a while before I get to see one in person.)

hello? Netflix and Hulu already encrypt most of their streams today.. that is why you need Flash or Silverlight to view most of the paid content.

What is stopping them? The same thing that made Mozilla change their mined. A forked client that does not support this module will not have the keys to access the protected media so most users will simply ignore it.

You are smoking crack. The DRM support they are looking to add doesn't block anything. It allows you to access content that is encrypted.

It is no more "on the browser level" than Silverlight or Flash. It does not exist at all today, and they are talking about implementing it as a 3rd party black box. It is nothing more then a special form of plugin.

Many notebooks have a v-rez of only 800/900/1024, and when remoting into another systems, the local task bar makes it hard to have a windowed remote session without scrollbars. I just hide the task bar and my remote windows fit. I wish windows had a built in hot key for this.
