All I really think of when I hear about a racing game is microtransactions. It's too bad really. I remember how awesome gran turismo was on the Playstation. It would be awesome to buy a $60 game now and get the full game rather than a relatively small number of cars plus hundreds of dollars in microtransaction

Cross-Gen? What an odd decision to make, I am sure that will make Xbone's fly off the shelves...

I bought 2 games Watch Dogs and Wolfenstein. I had little faith in one and real excited for the other.. I was right on the numbers, but I had the games backwards. Watch Dogs not bad or really good, but Wolfenstein one of the best shooters I have played in a long time all the way through. I am so glad I gave it a

So if I take a photo of my friends standing in front of a monument, and there are some people wandering into the picture in the background, I should get arrested? Sounds pretty stupid.

Now playing

I've never quite understand this mentality that a lot of people in the west have. What exactly is so rude about having your photo taken? I always think of this video, where people absolutely lose this their shit over, what, having a camera pointed at them? Do you feel threatened by this, or that you have something you

what photos of police wrongdoing or videos of tv licenceing stormtroopers lying through their teeth as they normally do? i wouldn't want to put a stop to those.

I think the Dev got it wrong. Kids do not want to play alpha or not at all.

I think the problem with Steam Early Access is that developers are asking too much for alpha versions. They use Minecraft as an example. Minecraft was very cheap for the alpha version. It went up in price when it went beta and then again for release.

And here is a prime example of what is wrong with the so called "gaming industry", the gaming industry has indeed become a joke, catering for "kids", there is the biggest problem. Maybe if the industry stopped catering for kids, we would actually get games that actually work on day 1 of their release instead of alpha

i got an idea ask a fan who actually has experienced more than one in development game from beginning to end, every developer has their own goals and plans on making money. its all about making money.

That person being upset describes why we see so many games that try to do both single-player and mutli-player, when I wish they'd just focus on one or the other to their utmost. Seriously, the vast majority of the time one of those modes will be throw-away.

Lower resolution and framerate absolutely can be a detriment to gameplay. That might not be the case with this particular game (I haven't tried it yet) but let's not pretend that gameplay is something separate from graphics and performance. Poor performance or poor graphics can absolutely ruin gameplay.

Bad argument is bad. There is no reason a game can't have both good game play and good resolution and frame rate. Also, I dont' think anyone ever forgets about game play.

Resolution and framerate MATTER. A lot.

Oh, okay. Let's just nurture and encourage big developers who don't want to make AAA titles with 1080p. I'm looking forward to a future where we've never advanced in terms of graphics because everything was good enough, even if it meant holding onto ten year old standards.

It's 2014. There aren't excuses for your game to not be 1080p with 60FPS unless you're indie.

You are aware you can do both care about gameplay and care about technical aspects of a game, right? And both can be talked about, especially given that this is a consumer industry and talking about performance informs the consumer, right?

I think they're both important. People who tout visuals as the end-all-be-all and ignore games that aren't super 1080p 60fps powerhouses are being ridiculous, but so I think are the people essentially saying "I don't care if it looks like dog-shit, aslong as it plays well!"

Granted, I know people weigh the two

Uh, Patricia explicitly said that she doesn't have a problem with the graphics not being what they were in the demo, but that it does matter to some people. And it's hardly like Kotaku and other sites are brainwashing us into thinking that graphics are the only things that matter, they're just showing a comparison for

But you can't compare something as huge and ambitious as Fallout or Elder scrolls to something uninteresting and bland such as Watch Dogs.
