I don’t think the Halo was really any part of the problem with the Yas Marina safety marshals’ response. Too many of them ran over and then quickly looked around cluelessly, as if they weren’t prepared for how to handle the incident. You could see marshals standing still, wondering what to do, and one completely…

On a techy note, I clicked on the video clip to watch cars pass through 130R. Just at the moment when Alonso is setting Schumi up for a pass, just before the entry and slingshot, a banner ad flashed onto the lower half of the screen, obscuring the cars. I was watching at work and have no ad-blocker on my work computer…
