Manufacturers would also need to be careful about body flex. Im sure that window seals and adhesives provide a lot of give so that the glass isnt stressed while the rest of the body flexes and bends when theres a sharp shock.

Pappas was badly messed up and the car was on fire. I’m sure he would have rather had SOMEONE there with a fire extinguisher than no one, regardless of whether the fire was raging or not.

He’s not gunna waste a cold one on a Porsche. A Torana, that might warrant the repurposing of a beer. In this case, the extinguisher will have to do.

One wonders whether, “The Porsche fire didn’t seem like it was urgent enough” in no small part because someone got to it quickly with a fire extinguisher?

The irony is that in the old days of the Bathurst 1000, cars were sometimes set on fire and rolled down the hill in the parks at the top of the mountain. My uncle used to go there in the 1970's and it was a wild time.

If people never risked anything to help other people, the world would be a sad dark place.
