Brilliant, but completely over my head.

I used the spreadsheet for the 4 door as well, as my other half was leaning heavily towards Audi products...

It got me an MX5 this go-round, now I'm working towards either an Elise, BRZ, Boxster or Cayman! All I need is more money and I can have one of those, too.

I'm the car guy in a relationship. I make a spreadsheet with my favorites and every other option, then take them on test drives. I have yet to not get what I want.

No Vaders (though they weren't even a 'vert option), torn leather, auto trans... yea CP. Knock another $1k off the price as the next buyer will have basically a nicer 325i 'vert with more expensive needs.

Too bad they can't remotely make the newest SL less ugly. That'd be a download worth waiting for.

Oh wait, you meant local-lot shows - not the big autoshows...

A fool and his (considerable amount of) money will soon (and apparently always) part company.

Having grown up with two of these and seen a few in Robin's Egg Blue... yea. This is it, /AOTD.

I can live with the cosmetic and interior mods, suspension too...

Not a "real" anything, just a mockup. Try driving a mockup around... hell, try sitting in a scale model with no windows.

Good luck finding a dealer that will let you pay that though. I walked into Subaru of Countryside (western burb dealer in Chicagoland) and they laughed in my face. They're adding a dubious-value $900 "maintenance package" which doesn't seem to include any actual maintenance.

Which Saturn? The NSX had the world's first aluminum monocoque in 1990. I don't think Saturn made an aluminum framed anything ever.

I think the NSX beat it.

First "real" Lotus to go submersible...

In comparison to this the Q7 is mutherfuckin' queen of elegance. It's big and excessive, but there's a certain air about it. The Range Rover has that same air to it as well. This looks bulky, like an uglier (is that even possible?) Lexus GX crossed with a Trailblazer.

Certainly looks like fun, doesn't it?

This is more automotive crap. Nothing bold and beautiful here, just crass and excessive. Clearly Mercedes has ceded elegance to Audi and BMW at the behest of a few oligarchs and oil sheiks.

It's only cool because it brings a higher-spec Passat here (ostensibly/hopefully) with a proper wagon configuration and a diesel.
