Everything about this car is a waste, and not worth the price. There's nothing good for the soul about a 700+hp V12 that is undriveable without an alphabet soup of computer systems to harness it. The shape is ungainly at best, like a fat ugly man who hired an ex navy seal personal trainer in hopes of looking like

It's not so much a car as a car-toon. A superhero car-toon to be sure.

Wow. Then again, after driving one for a week I'm not surprised. I didn't particularly enjoy driving that week, either.

I thought this was a crossover at first glance, what with the higher roofline and increased ride height over a Karma.

Attractive!

The Altima's target segment is the epitome of uncool. Current minivans might be slightly less cool, but the Camry/Passat/Accord/Malibu/blah fatty fwd sedan is about as cool as taking your newest hottie to Chucky Cheese on a first date.

The current Z4 was designed inside and out by women. I think that car is more feminine (in all the good ways) then a host of other designs made by men.

Once got threatened with police when I went to a Mazda store in upstate NY, probably in 2001 or so.

I'd take the Porsche too, just looking at it.

Because you can't get the full range of life experience without risk. An iPhone is zero risk, in a car you can push yourself too far and die. In a convertible you can get a sunburn. In a truck you can go so far off road that you get stuck. In a van you can load so much crap into you break the suspension.

+1

I agree with all of the above but you forgot one omission that I saw as critical to the whole "setup" of the Katniss/Peeta thing:

Win!

I've only had one bumper sticker ever, and I didn't even put it on the bumper.

Hence why I said family car. Lots of highly entertaining FWD hatches and compacts DO exist after all. I like the S60, I really do. It oozes down the road in a way my dad's old 940 couldn't even dream of.

Doesn't it really depend on the type of apocalypse?

I get the driving dynamics argument, but even a basic RWD 7-series Volvo was more entertaining to steer around a corner than any FWD family car of today you care to name. It had throttle adjustability! That it's less practical for packaging, safety, interior room reasons all make sense...

I was given a 2004 Saab 9-3, not a bad car for 10 months. My other half didn't need a car as he bikes to work so he signed over the Saab for my DD. Good car for the 10 months I had it, but when big repair bills started to loom (again) we traded it for a Countryman.

Tucci def ate up that role, super convincing. Sutherland def played it Machiavellian, which I think was spot on for the character. Hes supposed to be more than just obvious evil, and able to effectively sow doubt.

So this is what superpac money is for? High production values in theatrical presentation?
