These are usually driven by older guys with a santa claus-y bear look. Some have kids; I've seen Mondial Spyders at little league games. Others you'll find in Rehoboth Beach or Boystown. It's not hipster:

VANS ARE AWESOME. Sorry I really love vans.
Parents bring TOO DAMN MUCH STUFF with them these days.
Was this at Robert's in Woodside?!? I love their marinated tri-tip! Great little grocery, and a good place for car spotting.
I applaud Tesla and Elon for the Model S for numerous reasons, I for one will remain silent on its shortcomings until there has passed significant time to bake-out issues.
About time. I haven't purchased R&T in years, mostly due to their pretty weak overall content in the face of Automobile, Evo and of course Car. If R&T came back as a ripost to either Evo or Car - with the quality writing, lush photography, and book-quality printing I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
More counts of molestation than Jerry Sandusky's trial, CP.

"There's a preponderance of form over substance in our culture, and it drives me insane."
This is silly: no one drives anything for 20 years anymore. All the energy costs are fixed, which is an unrealistic expectation of the next 20 years. How can one expect to drive a Leaf for 20 years without a new battery?
I see them once in awhile in Chicago. People here have the money, the desire to collect - just none of the roads. I think there are a ton of these old Astons and similar locked away in garages all over the area.
People pay this much in labor sometimes for faux-patina'd rat rods. Obviously they pay way less for a genuine rat rod. In a world where Icon's Chevy Business Coupe exists however this Aston is probably very close to a NP. It all depends on how it drives. If the seller is right, and it drives pretty damn well than it…
You said San Francisco is #1 worst to which I say BOLLOCKS!
I think I'd rather have a Sterling, but NP for an odd bird all the same.
So do you recommend a big Audi for commuting?
I have no intention to move there, too hot and no ocean and your pollen counts in the spring would murder me, twice!
Where I live, Chicago.
