They don’t make ‘em like they used to...and thank God. My grandfather ran a body shop in the 50's and 60's. It was not uncommon for him to get cars straight of the dealer lot (not even sold yet) that needed doors/fenders/hoods/trunks/etc adjusted. You know, so the hood didn't leave a 2 inch gap on one side and hit the

On the way between job sites in D.c. a few years ago, saw this. Still no idea what it was. Vaguely tank like but just didn’t look right to be real.

Nope, and it’s a massive profit making oversight for Tesla. Install the proper cable (and make any voltage/amperage changes as needed), a card reader, and start making money on every EV.

A suggestion as another city dweller who camps and has made a few 3000 mile round trips, Mazda 2. Low mile and clean can be had for 5k. Easy to park, simple to work on and reliable as all get out. 5spd is pretty easy to drive in the city but the auto is available if you just don’t want to shift. Really the only down

D.c. parking tends to be friendlier it would seem. Aside from a few small divots (rock chip sized) no damage from street parking my Mazda over the past 4.5 years. Now in the 3 years I've been parking in Maryland at work...scrapes on 3 corners with paint transfers, a scrape the partially tore the bumper cover on the

64hp and 1800lbs makes it 1lb/hp slower than a Mazda 2. Not hateful that is.

The company that seems to be missing out on this is Toyota. With the Prius being a rather proven drive train, why is there no lite van (think transit connect or nv200 size) built on that platform? In heavy stop and go and low speed driving i would imagine it to be a solid seller.

Car people suck. Most of them have their craniums so far up their colon for their own particular style, brand, point of origin, etc, that they have to constantly belittle anyone/anything that doesn’t conform to their limited world. The small minority that don’t fall into the larger majority, refuse to talk to anyone

The universal sign for “I’m about to cut off 6 lanes of traffic and then camp in the far left lane at 10 under (or over and tailgate every thing) for a half mile, then repeat the process going to the right for the next exit”. Driving as part of my job, they almost never have a kid in the car but it doesn’t matter if

I drive as part of my job, so I get to see all the shenanigans!

I’ve never seen a sax played while driving, but i have seen an adult male over the age of 30, play a recorder while driving on the d.c. beltway. Sadly the desire to live prevented taking a photo.

Scariest (even at 16 when I was still invincible) was an indicated 120mph in my 258 powered 76 Gremlin. Long straight farm road near home. Still it had 4 wheel drums, possibly the Scariest weight distribution this side of an early 911, a front end that left the ground somewhere around 100mph, and floorboards that were

Long front and rear overhangs might make some driveways problematic but the extra room for crumple zones would be amazing for safety. Lower overall height than a truck so better drag numbers. Throw in cylinder deactivation and even a mild hybrid system and you could still get reasonable mpg #’s to keep cafe happy.

Every time I see the new Panamera, I can’t help but wonder if Porsche hasn’t been selling a test mule for the past few years. Seriously, the new one just looks finnished, where the old one looks like a work in progress.

Mild lysdexia meant that I saw the price as 20k initially and was super excited. An e30 m3 in any reasonable shape starts at 20 anymore so this looks great! Reading further though...sad panda.

They say, immolation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Ha! I had a Death Claw Spawn immediately across the river from Sanctuary when I was about level 7 or 8 in FO4. Oh and it was night. It definitely took alot of running scared and picking at it from high spots with a pipe rifle sniper to finally survive that encounter. Random Death Claws still happen.

I know that (along with feedback from others around the web), I now highly recommend people at least take a look at Carmax. Their prices tend to be about market average with no haggling, they’ll give you a no b.s. price on your car, and their warranty is actually not a bad investment if you are looking at something

Gotta love a big, 4 door pillerless early 60’s American luxury car. A huge displacement motor effortlessly pull you down the highway, soft suspension to isolate you from the world and some wonderfully clean styling that still looks great 47 years late. Not to mention almost 2k in left over cash for fuel and upkeep.

A poorly maintianed one. A well maintained vehicle is going to react predictably based on its handling characteristics. A poorly maintained version will tend to react unpredictably and have the added joy of the potential for catastrophic failure at any moment. I.e. well cared for 930 is scary. Ragged out 930 could
