...yes. You see a family car, I see a sports sedan. Everyone’s got different needs when buying a car, and you can buy a $40k Standard Range Model 3 which will fit your needs better than the Performance.

This.  At every price point of the Model 3.  Show me another car that does 0-60 in 3.1 that comes even close to $55k.  

Gotcha.  I guess I don’t see the proprietary network being a “luxury” draw, merely a brand draw, which would then extend to $25k Teslas and $125k Teslas.

Trying to understand your latter point in terms of cost of car - do Ferraris and Lambos not have to wait behind a Tercel or Sentra to free up a gas pump?  For the same brand, does a Maybach not have to wait behind an A-class sometimes?

Oh no worries!  I do read about issues others have had with the Pacifica too.  And yes a lot of owners do get the extended warranty.  

They won’t be happy unless it’s the Stones or Springsteen again.  Can’t win.

FWIW I have a ‘19 PacHy and it’s been relatively problem free for me. Recently the Uconnect has been rebooting itself every now and then, but that’s just an FCA feature not a bug. /s

Cost of development is so low at this point though - profit margin (even with all the incentives) is way high as the cost has long since been amortized.
