You understand it.  At the core of it, it’s an emotional thing for consumers, the feeling of paying “extra” to get something that was “included” in their purchased vehicle.  This is the same feel that gamers get when there is Day 1 DLC - “why wasn’t this included in my purchase?”  From a logical perspective, like you,

You buried the lede regarding the Aston Martin Residences - if you buy the $50 million 3-story (!) penthouse, you get the very last Vulcan.

My family left the Boston area around ‘94 when it was just starting. I remember going back to visit the area 10, 15 years later to various levels of construction.  Great question, is it done yet?

I did one of these intro classes in a little sport plane - and could not believe how turbulent air travel actually was.  Flying over DFW in the heat of July, the instructor said that the heat off the metal and concrete create some significant updrafts - we were being tossed around pretty heavily.  Almost lost my

Fun fact!!! Driver side rear view mirrors do NOT contain that message on the mirror, because, well, objects in that mirror actually are not closer than they appear. Only on the passenger side, due to seat positioning and angle.

I think the grille size on the 8 is the max size it can go. The 7-series is an even larger sedan and, damn Gina, this does not work:

He only changed his air filter after it started affecting his A/C. By then it’s far, far too late a change. I feel he’s on Jalopnik as a “non-car interested” contrarian hot take artist.

I can’t fathom how a beauty like the 8-series Gran Coupe can currently exist with the abominations that is, uh, every other BMW

I haven’t seen any sign or indication that Ford’s actual intention was for these to be driven.  More like an ultra-halo POC that Ford can compete in the hypercar arena, and as such, can maintain exclusivity like your Ferrari/McLaren/Bugatti/etc

A lot of local Starbucks runs.

If ever there was a need for Superman.  He could get this done really quickly I feel.

Mustang is absolutely a brand, like Corvette’s a brand, but is under Chevrolet, or to a lesser extent Viper. A Brand doesn’t have to mean a standalone company, it could be any entity that stands on its own cognizance and recognition. That it falls under a parent company is beside the fact.

For the common person, I think exactly that, yes. To you and me and anyone who’s into cars, we acknowledge the association either with derision or a cursory nod. Ford’s after the vast majority of people who are familiar with Mustang only as “Ford’s sports car” and will associate this new electric vehicle as “Ford’s

I clicked into this page thinking it was a Jalopnik article, as it was crossposted.  I’m slowly backing out now.

It’s not hard to understand - the Mustang brand evokes legacy and performance.  Since they’re directly marketing this effort as non-appliance, it makes sense.  I think what you mean is you don’t agree with the choice, which is a perfectly valid stance.  I think it’s fine.

I used to do the same, RX-8 with snow tires. It was fine confidence-wise, as the torque was so low so as to not encourage spinouts, but I had issues with ground clearance on heavy snow days. Also I’m sure your e-brake handle cover plastic snapped in the cold, as did mine and everyone else’s.

Takata: “We were 2020-style before it was even 2020"

Semi-related - I’ve debated swapping my Charger Scat Pack steering wheel for the fatter SRT steering wheel, but I’ve got perfectly centered steering wheel alignment right now and don’t want to mess with it (I’m anal like that.) Can removing the steering wheel and reinstalling change the steering angle/positioning of

Or install only the hitch and not any of the electrical.  Not that that’ll stop someone from towing something, but perhaps they can write off any liability.

Wonder why that is?  I don’t believe load weights are more for 2"?  Odd
