I spent the first 6 months of RX-8 ownership wondering if I made the wrong choice, trying to learn manual on that car.  Then the next few years rowing happily through gears.

I still remember when the Rogue first appeared, and they had blatant product placement on Heroes.

An RX-8 kinda ruins future cars for you, in both good and bad ways. Low, low low-end torque and really tight shift points ensure that you really have to know what you’re doing for smooth takeoffs and shifts.  A turbo would still have lag, and would not rev as happily as that Renesis.  

I sincerely hope they don’t drag Rivian down. I haven’t had high hopes for any potential challenger to Tesla’s foothold until them.
