300 seems like the sweet spot to me, unless you’re talking full-sized SUV. Gets you comfortably onto the highway and through lane changes, and can open up if you feel like it without being over the top for the typical driver.

100% correct. I bought my dad a Series IIA a few years back and it is infinitely cooler than the TJ I had at the time. Things a GD tractor.

I like the button and knob controlled MMI style setup like in my Mazda, have the screen but can do everything with button presses or defined controller movements. Not perfect but get the perks of the screen but reassurance of no look interface.

This is what I was thinking.

I live in a large tourist city and my biggest issue is when tourists downtown just stop in the middle of the sidewalk to gawk, look at a map, take a picture, etc. MOVE TO THE FUCKING SIDE, FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST.

It’s the same for caravanners - the vaunted “grey nomads” - in Australia. Take up an inordinate amount to resources for tiny towns, but actually contribute fuck-all. They bring their own food, own accommodation, but towns are expected to build and maintain camp sites for them.
