I got a Crosstrek instead of an Impreza because I wanted the extra ground clearance for driving in the mountains for camping, and for the larger engine. Has nothing to do with my weight or size, which is below average. I’ve known too many people to rip open their oil pans out in the middle of nowhere, even had to

Can't wait until y'all age and realise people are buying these instead of hatchbacks because they have bad knees and hips and they're easy to get into. It's really not that complex people. It's the age of baby boomers.

Obvious response to that kindness:  arrest him.

Agreed, on both counts.

I hear you, I did that with a turbo outback a couple years ago. The lift, roof rack and heavier tires really slowed the thing down, and that was a 250 hp turbo car. Doing that to a crosstrek makes them really really slow.

I’m impressed. This has been up for almost an hour, and I don’t see anyone ignoring the dude’s request and trying to convince him to get a stick shift anyways. “The clutch on these cars is so good that you won’t need to have any sense of touch in your foot!” The low point for this was the guy who lost his right arm,

The engineers won’t rest until the wings flap like a bird’s.

When you’ve regularly driven an MGB in Edmonton, Alberta - land of the lifted Canadian bro-dozer and coal rolling yahoos, the Morgan Plus 4 holds no terrors.

I was going to say this but I was afraid I would be attacked. I’m not a GM or Corvette hater. I just think they did a bad job with the car.

The roof was not on fire tho.

I’m glad everyone got out of the plane so we can make jokes about it.

Ugh, as much as I hate to say so with the brand, I’d say the Tesla Roadster. Almost single-handedly made EVs desirable and set us on our current course of electrification (as opposed to the toaster Prius course of electrification that preceded it).

I would think Audi is most likely. The Audi Q7 already is an upsized Cayenne.

I think you’re probably an outlier, champ.

Looking at a Pinto, you have to sorta expect bad things to happen to you when you drive it though.

My grandfather had a Pinto station wagon and liked it well enough, but the Pinto coupes and hatchbacks were cramped, uncomfortable deathtraps.

I’m lucky that in years of commuting (in GA, no less) the worst that’s (intentionally) happened to me was some dumb jock in an SUV throwing a water balloon at me. I’ve been hit, but it was accidental and the driver apologized profusely.

Might be a little too niche?
