Ford Bronco. Imagine electric motors at each hub; ground clearance goes way up. Integrated solar panels for charging out in the boonies. Solar inverters and a control unit that parcels out power for camp needs.

Hi. I grew up in a tourist city, and I’ve worked as a guide in various places around the world. I know how to be a good visitor.

Um, no. We pay hostel fees, eat at restaurants and food vendors, buy groceries from independent vendors, buy from local artists... We also try to make sure we volunteer somehow if we’re going to be in a place for a bit. We’ve volunteered at museums, parks, hospitals in developing nations, an aquatic agriculture

Cruise ship tourists suck ass. They don’t stay in hotels, they don’t eat in restaurants, and they buy a few meagre trinkets. In exchange they take up space, treat locals like garbage, and act like decidedly-entitled pricks. Cruise ship tourists contribute very little to local economies.

Fuck tourists. I grew up in Vancouver and yeah, tourist dollars are great. Tourists as a group are dirty, rude, disruptive, demanding, destructive, and inconsiderate.

I assume that some of the 1064 hp powers a built-in lift to help the old guys to get out of the damn thing.

I thought it was neat. This is an automotive website, and that was an automotive thing.

FTFY

You have to be drifty-er... or something.

Maul Approved.

One of the great movie lines of all time.

That’s a driver issue. It merges just fine without stressing itself out.

I regularly do 125 km/h (79 mph) all day long in the Crosstrek. I drove it over three mountain passes, twice in the last two weeks. No issues doing 110 km/h uphill, with a full load and a Thule box. Passes in the fast lane at 140 km/h with no issues. Is it quick off the line? Not particularly (0-100 km/h in 7.5

I have to think that eventually muscle memory would just take over. There are a million little things in life that we just “do”, without thinking about it.

He’s not touching the sterile end of the swab, not touching the containment vessel interior, not touching the agar on the plate, and not touching the water. No need for gloves.

We bought ours partially on the recommendations from three friends with 8 to 10-year-old models. They’ve been really happy and they report very few issues. I have heard that the CVT can be shitty over time, but none of our friends have had issues.

Never swab a drinking fountain.

Yeah, it’s mind-boggling.

The issue is that the “fix” doesn’t completely alleviate the potential for damage. From the article “...updated wheel covers that should cause less damage to the tires.” (emphasis, mine).

I know I go on about our ‘22 Crosstrek and that people are probably tired of me advocating for it, but... it really is that good. We’ve just hit 60,000km and the end of the factory warranty. We’ve had no warranty issues; no issues of any kind. Fit and finish is as good today as it was on delivery.
