That was the best part of the trailer. The rest...meh. Raptor wrangling? Mutant dinosaurs? Not feeling it.

Christie said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that the script stated that Sansa was giving her the Be Careful Side Eye. So, not being completely dismissive, just cautious for both of them. I don’t even think Brienne could take out 10 knights in such close quarters.

How does the book pull off Stannis’s alliance with Melisandre and burning people, yet make him seem fair? That would be quite a feat.

I also loved Stannis’s offer to Jon. I’m loving that Shireen is getting more screen time, though I fear that means things aren’t going to end well for her. Damn, The Wall used to be my least favorite stop in Westerns, but now it’s practically humming. Kinda wish they had left in the scene from the book where Samwell

I’m gonna have to go back and look at ANH when I have a chance. For some reason, I keep thinking Leia was involved in the heist.

To me, Bronn is the closest character to The Hound: doesn’t really have a place in the big scheme of things, but when paired with the right person, is fun as hell to watch. (He’s basically vanished in the books by now, right?)

Tywin: I don’t disregard you because you’re a woman. I disregard you because you’re not as clever as you think you are.

  1. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for Brienne to say “Arya”, too.

It’s probably not a coincidence that the first two episodes ended with two would-be rulers making decisions on mercy, and the contrast in the results. Dany’s one eerily echoed the one Robb made in S3, that eventually led to the Red Wedding. But of course, she had to turn it up to 11 and do it in front of the whole

Now when I look at Brienne, I see Chrome Trooper.

For some reason, I always thought Leia was involved with stealing the Death Star plans before ANH, which might be interesting if Felicity Jones is playing Leia.

So Darth Vader’s in this?

Considering how low a bar the original two set, this could be awful and still an improvement.

What was it Bob Iger said to Abrams when Disney hired him? Something like, This isn’t a $200 million dollar movie, but a $4 billion dollar movie. All our future investment starts with this movie. No pressure, JJ. No pressure.

Because $$$$

Obviously a dye job.

"You have to wonder how long Warner Bros. and DC were working on this switchover"

Oh, I agree. It would come across as a trick and the TV show (so far) hasn't gone there (unlike the books). But for what it's worth, on the S4 DVD, during the round table discussion with the actors who played characters who died that season, Rory McCann wasn't there.

The Mountain is definitely alive. The last we saw of him, that weird Maister in King's Landing was super charging him into the Hulk, or something.

Lena's always been great. I'm really going to miss her verbal sparring with Dinklage.
