I have thousands of hours in Spelunky 1, and need to figure out if I can wait until it comes out on PC in a few weeks.

Makes sense. Mask culture is already a thing in Japan, so this is just a fashion store with a tinge of public health utility.

Just....just say money.

I assumed Buckingham Palace was replaced not due to a quirk of AI, but because of licensing rights or security reasons. Like the fake World Trade in SpiderMan.

He had to spin one of those circle puzzles to discover part of a cutscene

I’ve never seen My Neighbor Totoro, but I have seen the poster many times. I never thought that the poster was art that wasn’t in the movie at all.

This is only a FOX thing, and not for every game.

That guy in the header image with the blonde hair and green jacket looks like Cody Rhodes.

Been watching a lot of GameCenter CX lately, and the Tamage segments where Arino visits a Japanese arcade kinda bummed me out, knowing a lot of these smaller places probably closed down during the pandemic, or at least aren’t going to be the same anymore.

So they turned Paper Mario into those Assassin’s Creed 2 rotating wheel puzzles?

I feel like Mafia 3 could be on here too

Except Absolution is the wack Hitman game mostly everybody dislikes.

*nods in Joakim Mogren*

Real racers who do it for a living train on these simulators. The skills are remarkably similar.

Just gonna mod them back into the game, same with Into Free with Dragons Dogma

I read it. They’re saying it wasn’t to hide load times. I say it’s irresponsible for them to use a technique that already only exists to hide deficiencies for an entirely different reason (they wanted to show texture quality), They could have just done a zoom in on the character’s face if they wanted to show quality.

So they're just unable to make a game demo without fake load times in it, even when the big demo of the next gen is no load times.

Kinja Deals is promoting CDKeys now?

Kinja Deals is promoting CDKeys now?

Certainly explains why Split/Screen ended, now that nobody on the show works for Kotaku anymore.

Is Maddy also quitting, or is ending this era of Split/Screen just a chance to make a clean break? I've listened to more than one workplace-based podcast that survived a few employment changes.
