So basically, Crossfit is the new straight edge or veganism.

Every game designer I've met has done the work for the love of games, and not because it pays particularly well. I am in no way shocked their salaries are around this number, if not lower.

Did we ever figure out if that chick in the book is Black? The one with all the cool shirts and white Chuck Taylors. Not that it should be important, but BLO'M himself has talked on Tumblr about his struggles regarding racial representation in his work, and how he never thought about putting more people of color in

they don't seem to Mention if They'll be leaving. Doesn't sound like they will be. Maybe they should just Go home. Valve should like...probably revoke media access?

I think when you commit war crimes, you don't get to complain when you get depicted in a shitty way in a piece of fictionalized media.

Well it was just that one part, close to the end of the game, and I think they eventually fixed it. Also, it wasn't a video. It was gameplay.

Yup. If not for the reputation that it's a buggy mess (the only bug I came across was at the end, when you end up in...a place with lots of people, the framerate dropped to single digits. Apparently it was something with DX 11, and the fix was just to turn the graphics down.) the game is still pretty good. The boss

That sells the show quite short. It's not just pop culture references, that's trash. That's particularly season 4 type trash. It's a show literally about community, about finding a part of yourself in those around you. Broken people coming together and being stronger for it.

yeah, but both stories involve a "hey, don't tell anyone about this" moment that is immediately followed by a source leaking. :-)

Oh, that Jason. Always going around, press sneak fucking.

I recently met a dude who works at Avalanche in NYC (the Just Cause guys). When I asked him about why the NYC game dev scene isn't a bigger thing, he told me that anyone in the area who knew how to program and had half a brain would take their skills to go work at a bank for more money and less stressful hours. You

Wait, was the fact that Avalanche in NYC was making a new Just Cause game a secret? Cause I met a designer from there a few weeks ago who seemed fairly open about the idea that he was working some "Just" a new title in a popular Avalanche franchise.

I think technically, Stephen was on vacation. He can do whatever he wants!

I...I wanna virtual dance with Tina...:(

Pfft, now they just made it more forbidden and thus, hotter, to bang your kickball teammate.

Well great, now I'm weirdly turned on.

Who are you to tell the Freakzilla, Scott Steiner, that he's wrong?

As someone born and raised in New York City, I feel your pain. But I do defend myself by saying that that is what Sucker Punch has been claiming this whole time.

Eh...I mean, I did laugh uproariously when I played Prototype and looked at the in game map. But that was the least of that game's issues.
