See this is what is wrong with America. Oh, it’s cheap because everyone has $3.50 laying around. And it’s less than $5.25. Let’s by a truck!

Stupid Acura and premium only lol. Hopefully won’t make that mistake again. We get kind of screwed because we’re so close to Chicago.
Not sure where you lived but in Wisconsin, it was $4 for regular and like $4.50 for premium.
Incorrect. We are at $50/bbl. Egro we’ll probably be looking at gas around $3.50/gal for regular.
You would be correct. A gas powered vehicle is 100% a gas guzzler when compared to an electric vehicle.
No, efficiency is not relative. Percentages and statistics are. Getting half the efficiency of most other vehicles on the road is a good indicator that you have shitty efficiency.
The problem is is that people buy what they want now and then bitch later because “x” didn’t remain constant. I remember many people at work with their brand new Tahoe complaining because gas was $4/gal. Suck it up buttercup.
You assume someone spending $40k truck can actually afford it. Two completely different concepts.
Just because they’re rated at 21 doesn’t mean they get 21. Friends who have new trucks are lucky to still break 18. That is horrible.
That makes it worse. Grown people making horrible decisions. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.
I thought the same thing with all this in game purchase bullshit they’re running now. Oh, buy the game for $60. Oh, look, you don’t have all the maps. $5. Oh, we just released 3 ridiculously overpowered guns. You don’t have that eitehr. $5. Oh, look, another map pack. $5. I thought that was going to do in COD. Nope. I…
People also have to accept that being 400 lbs. is not average.
Who said anything about purchasing a second vehicle? My point is that Bro Math’s explanation was pretty pointless and left much of the picture untouched. A lot of people who own huge vehicles are hit hard when gas goes up. The reason car lots couldn’t move trucks/SUVs when gas was high.
Because Illinois, the land of “we can’t even pay out lottery winnings” is sooo much better...
Ahh bro math. Only an extra $2000/year. That’s $150 a month. That’s not chump change. Not to mention you math works if your petrol bill is the only thing affect. Just about every item you purchase is affected by oil going up. So your average bro over-extended on his truck, house, and toys... $2000 extra a year is a…
In it’s current state. I guarantee they will be looking at other materials to produce the same event.
No, it’s short term memory. The only reason sales are up so significantly are because of the people who dumped their SUV/Truck the last time gas shot up for a smaller, more practical car. Now gas is cheap so they’re back.
Possible, yes.
Without a doubt. The company I work for is also a supplier for a lot of the worlds major companies. We see that all the time. There is definitely a need to fully analyse every situation. But, you’re not dealing with your mom and pop supplier. This is Elon Musk.
I can’t wait until we find out Tesla has a new type of battery...
