I dunno man. HRC lost by about 1% in Florida, Michigan, New Hampshire, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. Those are all huge gun-owning states. Pissing on their heads and telling them it was rain was probably not the right thing to do.

As far as X’s and O’s, blocking and tackling is concerned, why we liberals keep fighting tooth and nail for gun control? I can’t think of a more suicidal electoral policy to pursue. Of course, it’s the morally correct thing to do, since guns are an abomination, but it is political suicide. It loses us huge swaths…

Fuck the Democratic Party for not actually developing a bench. We were choosing between a flawed candidate (at least in terms of public perception — which is all that matters) and a 75 year old guy who mostly identified as socialist.

For the life of me I’ll never understand why the democrats cleared the decks to anoint a candidate who had already failed miserably in 2008 and who revealed herself to be isolated and utterly out of touch with the electorate.

I’m surprised I haven’t seen any Democrats issuing hot takes blaming Fidel Castro yet since that difference in Florida was all Cubans.

They got there my friend - they just didn’t vote for Hillary. Trump doubled AA vote that Romney got and got 33% of Hispanic males and 26% of HIspanic women. The Hispanic vote may have actually won Florida for him... think about that.
