I just looked it up. You're right. My mistake.

I understand that Canadians wanted their rules to be different that ours for the sake of it, but IMHO they went the wrong way on the differences.
What every college football fan should want is fairness and consistency. We haven't had that. When the same exact situation arose in 2006 and 2011, we got the opposite result, and that shouldn't happen. The main reason we haven't had fairness and consistently is because voters don't seem to know what it is they're…
I don't understand why people argue against my general point about what the voting is and should be based on. Do the AP guidelines state something different? Should they state something different? You really want the subjective opinions of beat writers or coaches to count more than results?
Do we really want a goal of increasing punts? Constant punting is what makes Canadian football unwatchable.
You don't seem to understand what voting is supposed to be based on. It's based on accomplishments, not which team you subjectively think is the best. It's ranking resumes, not which team you think would win some hypothetical game.
"It was pretty clear...that Florida was not the same caliber as Alabama." Based on what, exactly? Was it clear to Texas A&M? Was it clear to LSU? Being more dominant against lousy teams is more important than actually beating good teams?
You're right about UF deserving a shot in the title game, but it deserved to be there instead of Alabama, not Notre Dame.
People seem to be missing the real issue: Florida was more deserving of playing in the title game than Alabama, not Notre Dame.
There's a big difference though- in 2006, Michigan, USC and UF all had the same record. In fact, UF's record was better, as it had one more win than both teams. In that situation, SOS is highly important.
In 2011, SEC fans said Strength of Schedule doesn't matter. In 2013, SEC fans say it matters.
In 2011, SEC fans said Strength of Schedule was less important than who a team lost to. In 2013, SEC fans are saying the exact opposite.
Shouldn't longer kicks be worth less points, not more? You don't want to punish the offense for getting more yards.
Did anybody complain about the name "Redskins" during the first 50-60 years of its use?
I can absolutely tell you that a degree from a public university may be worth $20k per year. The difference between what I earn now and what I would earn without my degrees is substantial; so much so that the difference over a two year period would probably cover the complete cost of my education (which actually…
What the hell are you talking about?
He wasn't the best of his era. Bill Russel was.
Did you sleep through the 2006 playoffs?
Wade carried his team to a title in 2006. It was perhaps the best Finals performance of all time. Durant hasn't done anything remotely close to that.
Thank you.
