Oh definitely, you can’t force kids to do anything (well... for them to be happy successful in the long term). That said, properly timed/applied support makes a world of difference.

Yes, she can apply all of those principals. If she also installs a mod called engineer redux she will have even more information to play with.
Define hard physics? I’m a Mechanical Engineer, and while I wouldn’t consider it “hard physics” it was definitely a trial and error learning experience. You could break out a notepad/calculator/mods that give you more control/understanding, but it’s not required.
Ok... gear vr+ rink + cs? that’s exciting.
If their target market was solely professionals in the media industry... they would be bankrupt. Sorry, but just going to put that out there.

Too bad Apple doesn’t make any computers capable of running an Oculus Rift at recommended settings.

This game looks frustrating as hell, I think I might skip this and watch some play throughs of people with far more skill/time then I.
I had great fun with the lego game, if they made a non-lego open world smashem up, and maybe work with Microsoft to nail the new Crackdown’s city wide demolition ability. It would be awesome. Hell they could limit it to 5 characters and include the rest as DLC and I would still pay $80 upfront and $5 per character…
FWIW, a marvel/htc vive game in general would be awesome.
Doing a forward flip while being tied to your desktop tower is not recommended.
Ugh, I hopped ship when they announced the hand controls were to be shipped separately, and I can totally understand some resentment. But the amount of table flipping going on seems unjustified.
Or politics, there is always politics to fall back on.
Endgame boss
My bad, nah that’s fine, carry on.
-The average fatality rate for cars is about 30,000 people per year.
That is complete and utter bullshit. Accidents should be rated on a per mileage basis, otherwise, we should just ban driving entirely as humans are managing to get 30,000 a year.
I love how those examples have already been done. I get your point, and yes, that’s why they are still testing as many scenarios as possible. But given the real world and simulated results, every ai vehicle will be equipped with FAR FAR more real world experience than any conventional driver.
There has been no definition anywhere that an autonomous car has to do everything a human driver can do. That by definition is impossible, how on earth is an autonomous car supposed to know where you are supposed to go without some form of input? We live in a world of gray, and not black and whites so stop trying to…
You are speaking in absolutes. Which is dumb, humans haven’t perfected driving so why should AI have to? As long as the average AI driver is better than the average human driver (which is honestly a pretty low bar to pass)... then we are netting a win.
It isn’t inane, it is when people stop paying attention during those inane tasks is when mistakes are made. Currently, publicly available self driving cars can cruise down the highway and self park in a parking lot. That middle ground you feel somehow differentiates human from autonomous pilots is going to disappear…
