Quite frankly all of the publishers and developers out there are not doing anything new. Nintendo hasn't done something completely new outside of their franchises that were established 25 years ago. Sony doesn't seem to know what to do and Microsoft is banking on frat boys now. The only place to get originality…

It's possible. I use to use my Android phone to control my FiOs set top box with the FiOs remote app which uses WiFi and there wasn't much of a delay there so I wouldn't be too concerned.
