@HerrDoktor: For sure. Short wing, lots of power, they like to flip over on their back if you get below VMC.

Did it have the split-shift stick?
@Rust-MyEnemy: Hah, love the Ferris Bueller reference.
@Maymar: Y'know, for only having 90 horsepower, that 1.9 was a decent motor. That split-port intake gave it surprisingly good grunt. I miss my '94 shitbucket wagon.
@Barcode711: Somebody set up us the bomb!
I spend a few hours a month behind a Continental six. 470 cubic inches, 230 horsepower, 503 pound-feet of torque. In one of these:
Going to the game tonight! C-A-P-S CAPS CAPS CAPS!
@skyln95: I said it above, but "ATC delays" are very rarely a function of an "outdated system." ATC moves planes as fast as weather, and more importantly, AVAILBLE RUNWAYS, allow. NextGen won't change that, it'll just allow some flights to have slightly more direct routes before they get stacked up in holding queues…
@tempesjo: Vacuum tubes are a very small, but measurable, part of the problem. The biggest problem? The hub and spoke routing system the airlines insist on using. It concentrates so many flights through the hubs that even in perfect weather, there isn't enough runway, or enough gates, to keep up. They're…
@tony-e30: Certainly less than swapping a rebuilt LS1 into it...
@Citroen_SM: Well, that's not my experience, but then I'm comparing one to my other car, the admittedly uninspiring PT Cruiser.
@Citroen_SM: Have you driven one?
@scottcom36 has Weekday DT's, Weekend OD's: The third row folds *really* flat, and the 2nd row folds pretty flat, too.
@HiramJahoovafat: Heh, I own both a 5-speed PT Cruiser and a Mazda5. Unfortunately, the Mazda's my wife's, so no manual in that one. But I search online car classifieds just about every week looking for a used Mazda5 with a sunroof and a stick. They do exist, and when one comes up, I'm snapping it up.
@GreenN_Gold: Hah!
Oh, and my choice for the Jalopnik Fantasy Hangar would be the Mitsubishi MU-2 with the Garrett TPE331 -10 engine conversion. Over 300 kts on 580 pounds per hour. Best value in business aviation (if you can keep it from flipping over on it's back and killing you in an engine-out).
That tug looks like a... well... a TUG.
@wkiernan: And -ping- you're hearted. Darin rocks. The A-B-A coast-down testing and aero tuft testing with homebrew webcam mount get me all geeked out.
@godspunk32: Aaaaand hearted.,
