When I look at Charts and reviews, I do not look at "western" reviews of japanese games. Or "western charts" of japanese games.

I've been following the international sales charts on Gamasustra, and I can tell you, the difference is not even that obvious. Not even close to a collection of "fricking masterpieces", mostly yearly rehashes of sports games and shooters and some shovelware (Just Dance franchise etc.). Of course those can be good too

The difference is they're films about Nazis, and not present-day Germans. The distinction and differentiation is all that makes the difference. In fact, making a distinction and not throwing all the people in one nation into the same category is the difference between not racist and racist.

"Japan is the xenophobic one" is a xenophobic sentence.

Eh, turn based gameplay is derived from board games, and have a similar appeal. It may not be to your taste, but that doesn't mean it's bad per se.

Ehm. you wrote "Drakengard 2". The other guy said it's "Drakengard 1". That's what he was correcting.

Yeah, the few games compared to the massive amount of fitness/dancing/zumba/farming/towerdefense shovelware.

But the thing is, if we judge by the mainstreamy "everything", games from Europe and the US are also "crap". All the shovelware and disappointing blockbusters...

I think an easy abuse is actually necessary for stealth game.. or rather, there needs to be very clearly defined (and sometimes not very realistic) "you are now safe" and "you are now unsafe" conditions in game design.

My Galaxy S is still fresh as ever thanks to CM10 although that's only a 3 year old device, not a 4 year old device.

I don't know but Tales of Destiny (at least in the remake version on PS2) started really fast with Stahn getting caught up on that ship. I mean it basically started with furious combat before even the title opening sequence.

Aside from that DirectX is not even remotely comparable because DirectX is just a way to access hardware - just like Sony has their own API and Nintendo too.

You cannot program anything with graphical output on Xbox 360 without DirectX/Direct3D. It's the standard API for graphical stuff on Xbox 360.

Xbox 360 uses DirectX/Direct3D.

Not that the characters in this are any better really, except that they take things far more seriously.

Why not? It's music.

They do matter, but not for the ending. It's weird to me that everyone seems to be all about the ending, when the major part of it is how you get there, and that does change with your choices even if it's just a slightly different dialogue path (but in this type of game that makes all the difference).

Excuuuuse me, princess!

The original Deus Ex' stealth system was pretty much identical to Thief's. In fact, the "light orb" that indicated how light/dark the space you were hiding at was also present, you could see by how dark your weapon in your hand is whether or not you are in the dark or not. Add to that the lean left/right command (also

I'm topping that: Mobile SOCIAL game.
