I understand how the Fusion drive works and I think it has two major flaws:

500GB isn't low capacity just as 1TB isn't very high capacity.

skimped on components by using a hybrid drive rather than full SSD.

Having more flash storage on the hybrid drive is better, but you still have the HDD portion of the drive which I don't like. I don't know if Apple just hasn't adjusted their SSD prices to match the dropping cost of the drives, but they charge a ridiculous markup on them.

My SSD launches in 8 seconds, file copy is instantaneous as is application launching. I would agree that last year they weren't worth the price, but they're cheap(er) now.

It's not a 1TB drive, it's a hybrid drive, so sorry for not explaining slowly, but I just assumed if you're making an argument of: 1TB SSD to a 128GB SSD(flash portion of the hybrid drive), then you have no clue what you're talking about.

500GB SSD > 1TB Crappy Hybrid drive

No but I can show you a mid $300 500GB SSD, think you missed the point
