No this guy sucks

Super fanboy has a SJ shrine on his desk

search for the 512GB. The whole point is for the price they're charging they should've used SSD and given the option for upgrading in 1-2 years when the 1TB SSD are cheaper. The Hybrid drives are crap

Agreed, but to my point, for high end computer prices they should use high end components. Those fusion/hybrid drives are something that should be in a low end Dell/HP that costs $600, not a $2K computer.

Considering something like 80% of computer users use a PC not sure what 80% you're referring too. The people who want to hit the ground running and get another computer in a few years go to best buy and purchase a gateway/toshiba/samsung for 1/3 the price of a MAC

So your apps average 6MB a piece? That kind of doesn't make sense. I don't know what kind of hello-kitty island adventure applications you're using, but in the real world 128GB isn't a lot of space for your OS/APP drive.

The hybrid drives aren't a value, it's like putting Lamborghini doors on a Chevy cavalier and saying you made it perform better. My point is the 500 GB SSDs are cheap enough at this point that they should've used a true SSD and called it a day. Instead able insists on crap like this or the integrated flash storage.

maybe not a 1TB SSD but a 500GB SSD in an accessible bay to allow for future upgrades exists.

WTF are you talking about n00b?

It's not a 768GB SSD it's 768 of integrated flash storage so they basically fuse the SSD onto the mobo, all at the reasonable price of $1300. Fusion drive isn't an Apple thing, it's the throw-up of the PC world. Hybrid drives came out a few years ago giving people psuedo SSD performance at HDD prices but the

No sarcasm intended

That's actually a really good idea.

I didn't say Federal sales tax I said State and Fed Govt taxing the shit out of amazon, please read before you post stupidly:

try uninstalling all the bloatware that came with the gateway, or better yet reinstall the OS fresh.

OMG your math is impeccable

Do you even know what that is that you just posted?

Great for the owners of the Chinese companies, but I think it may cause some issues when there are mass layoffs in China

Don't know about UK but in USA we can get a 500GB SSD for between $300-$400 retail which means it should be a lot less for Apple to buy/offer it.

Do they worry what'll happen when their wages get high enough that it's not worth it to make products over there? Granted they have a large amount of 'technical" people, but that's not a super big hurdle.
