Launchy and Pidgin.

@BingleyJoe: DO A BARREL ROLL (Z OR R TWICE)!

@AskTheAdmin: To that you should reply "It's because you spend too much time on the internet and not doing work so your internet pipes are full and it is slowing down your computer. Get off QVC and get to work."

@vered: I'm with ya. About 11-13 hours of my day are locked down hard core. When I get "unusable" time then I prefer to simply do nothing. Sometimes, that's exactly what I do and it feels great.

This is actually kinda neat. Not sure how much I'd use it but it's pretty cool regardless.

@Ken: Exactly what I did. I've been super impressed with my results and shedding my beer gut so rapidly. I began to fear going to the beach this summer and well now my results are better than I bargained for.

VOTE: Notepad++ (Windows)

@DavidC: See I thought it a little differently... I think RSS is going to be adopted slowly as a byproduct of low bandwidth mobile devices. People are sucking up smart phones like they are going out of style. People who I consider really dumb even have these things. The web needs to deliver content and they can't

I use both cleaners ruthlessly. I've cleaned up about 7 gigs of crap on one machine that had never been cleaned before. It always fixes heaps of registry junk... I still save a backup just incase.

Health stuff aside...

Ah! This is awesome! I have been using the default FF setup on my other machine because I've been too lazy to setup everything. This is great.

@BlueScreen: I had this problem... kernel panics and stuff. What you need to do is boot off your CD and do a disc check. Then partition the disc from there to about the same size as you want to have for windows. After that, delete the new partition and extend your old one out to cover the unused space. Then go

Notepad++ on my PC and Coda on my Mac. I stopped building HTML with WYSIWYG ages ago.

@pjharris: They will probably open it up eventually. Kinda like how HopStop got NYC first then a bunch of other cities.

@Sweep: That is exactly what I was thinking to the word.

@unravel: I thoroughly enjoyed the usage of perl variables in your comment.

Mine just auto-updated this morning on one of my machines. The direct link still does not work though.

@gpzbc: I'll use it when Digsby's memory use goes way way down AND it supports Facebook chat. It's actually kinda cool, but it's still web based chat and so much messes with your browser these days it's kind of a pain to NOT have a stand alone app.

@eeefresh: The idea is you treat your credit card like cash. You don't put anything on the card unless you have the liquid cash flow to pay it off immediately. I have been doing this for years and have raked in several hundred dollars in perks and benefits. There are so many benefits to this I can't possibly get

@superbryant88: I had the same problem... then I started using my computer's surround sound with Banshee Screamer and now everyone hears my alarm.
