Oh dear.

That summarizes her entire life.

Yup. When people decide to present their personal lives for public entertainment (usually for money, but not always), they don’t get to make the argument above anymore.

I mean he is talking about it on a podcast so I guess it’s ok to talk about their relationship.

In his defense, a lot of football players are pretty stupid.

You really want to talk about Mariah’s personal life, but couching it in some ceasefire/abortion rhetoric. If this is the new Jezebel ... I might have to sit this version out.

I’m having a hard time understanding why PP (and the movement more generally) can’t focus on the critical task of promoting reproductive health and freedom in the US and preventing a theocratic dictatorship. As others have noted, liberals/progressives are, in good faith, in different places on the Israel-Palestine

I don’t think Planned Parenthood has the time or expertise to weigh on Global Political issues. Nonprofits need a singularity of purpose to fund raise and to maintain an actual knowledge base. Not everyone who supports abortion is going to share the same view on the Israel Palestine conflict. Not everyone supporting

Exactly. As one of the first people on the old Jez boards to say out loud “both governments involved are bad, the only innocent people here are the civilians on both sides who are just trying to put food on the table” I got a fair amount of pushback in the rush to condemn one side OR the other.

I think you’re vastly overcomplicating this issue.

“to say nothing of left-leaning” not “other left-leaning.” The Democratic Party is anti-left and puts resources into sinking leftist candidates who use the party as a means of maximizing reach and candidates outside the party.

Kylie and Timothee look miserable in public like a real couple. I think they’re going to make it all the way...

Reproductive rights, and protecting abortion, are some of the most popular issues in the Democrats’ wheelhouse and arsenal, to say nothing of other left-leaning political forces. Making support of that issue contingent on another, more or less unrelated and highly divisive geopolitical issue, is a fantastic way to

Well why would we address the complexity and nuance? That would lead us to a solution where all parties have to compromise and many will cast judgement. It’s way easier to point a finger and assign a Bad Guy. You don’t have to think too hard after you’ve picked your bogeyman, either.

When will we begin a discussion about a seriously frightening situation without making this a zero sum game? Wrong and right can be in all places

But the school says it took particular issue with posts that said Israel’s war on Gaza began before October 7"

The article mentions that this isn’t the first time a student has been expelled based on their parent’s conduct—I’m dying to know the circumstances surrounding those/that prior incident(s).

I’m trying to process the Will Smith/Kanye West thing.

is there ever love in these kardashian things? just never seems like it....

Expelling a child from school for something their parent did or said should only happen in the most extreme circumstances, so I’d be fascinated to know what she actually posted that could make anyone feel okay about this.
