Expelling a child from school for something their parent did or said should only happen in the most extreme circumstances, so I’d be fascinated to know what she actually posted that could make anyone feel okay about this.

I started reading Gawker every day around 20 years ago when I still lived in NYC, probably more for the local gossip than anything else. When I moved to the other side of the world, it was one way I maintained a connection to “home” at the time.
Well said. Even her deranged outbursts have elements of impressive wit and lyricism. It’s a shame we will never get to see what she could have been capable of as an artist.
Indeed. No idea what a celebrity is to do these days when followers demand that you pick a side and then take issue with whichever side you’ve chosen, even if it’s simple the side of “don’t kill innocent civilians and children”.
I caught up on a few recent Marvel movies and TV shows on some long haul flights last month. I generally got what was going on and enjoyed most of them, but there were definitely references to other events that I hadn’t watched yet and then made sense after the fact.
Was wondering why Emily Hampshire would choose a Halloween costume that’s so clearly in bad taste and would be received badly. Then looked up her TV work for this year, and it consisted of appearances on Celebrity Jeopardy and a Real Housewives episode, both as herself.
My reading was that the Daily Beast had that take because they have no hard evidence (yet) of him lying, but wanted to write a big profile on the fact that this makes no sense.
My partner is 6'2" (pretty much the same build otherwise) and his ability to find clothes that fit or drive a smaller car as just a couple of recent examples is significant. I think after 6'2" or maybe 6'3" a lot of things just aren’t designed for you anymore because you’re now well outside the norm!
I’m 6'4" and wish I was 6'2". Waiting for gravity and old age to do it’s thing and make things right.
If the reviews are accurate (as I have zero plans to read this book), it sounds like Britney consistently describes herself as having been clueless and made bad choices, so I don’t know that Mother Theresa is the look she’s going for and certainly not what I’m hearing. The fact that she’s been borderline imprisoned…
I’ve seen her in a lot of good memes...
As the dad of an 8 year old girl, I think just being conscious of this stuff as a parent is a good thing.
Thank you for focusing on the important things in this story ❤
I’m surprised the write up by Audra (which was not very good in general) didn’t go into a bit more detail on that, however. Just printing Penn’s quote without letting readers know what that refers to (which is only one incident, not his abuse of Madonna, which was a separate incident) is a bit strange.
Clicked on the Dancing with the Stars link expecting to laugh at the roster...and was kind of impressed. I then realized I was impressed because I am old and names like Jason Mraz, Mira Sorvino, Alyson Hannigan and Tyson Beckford wouldn’t mean roughly nothing to anyone under the age of 30.
The fact that this is what Musk doesn’t mind people knowing is what confirms he’s such an awful person. But no, I don’t think anyone was expecting that an authorized biography was going to dig up the dirt on all of his sexual harassment or anything.
the actress, best known for her work on Orange Is The New Black and Sons of Anarchy
Hell no, if I was her PR team I’d sign her up to more social media services immediately. This is creating an incredibly amount of work. Hopefully they are billing by the hour. Someone needs to be benefiting from this hot mess of a terrible human.
I just want to confirm that you guys are speaking broadly and hypothetically, and that no one is suggesting that supposedly “smart” people having more kids is actually going to change the trajectory of civilization.
Oh to be clear, they will continue to print money, especially in China, where any big budget action flick will make back its budget in a couple of weeks. If that’s the only goal (and we do live in a capitalist society, so maybe it is) then all good and congrats to them.
