I have literally never heard of any rent-controlled areas or properties in my city. In fact, our city council recently rolled back the little bit of legislation we had that provided for rent control in limited areas. Where are these magical rent control places?

That’s what caused me to buy recently. Rent EXPLODED in my area, like I was paying almost twice what I was six years ago for the same square footage. I felt like I could either move to a less desirable rental market - which I didn’t want to do because I like living downtown near my office with basically zero commuting

I like their vibe a lot better than a lot of HGTV hosts, probably because they’re actual twin brothers and friends, rather than just cohosts. I was really relieved when multiple people gave the brothers good reviews.

I have no idea about any other HGTV hosts, but I’ve been told by several people that Jonathan Drew are helpful and super nice.

I didn’t ask the two dudes who had it done - they were the party-loving brothers with a ridiculous budget - but the married couple said it was pretty fast and yes, they loved their house.

I didn’t ask. I know that you have to be in contract for House Hunters, but I’m not sure if you have to for Property Brothers? Everyone said that the brothers themselves were really, really nice.

Haha, the two couples I know who did HGTV were in fact on Property Brothers. While they said it isn’t 100% authentic, they said the brothers did a lot of work and both couples were grateful for the experience.

I know two couples who were on a different HGTV show and both said that while, yeah, the process isn’t just like it looks on TV, the show helped their budget and allowed them to do a lot more work than they could have without it, and that they got free real estate advice that they otherwise would have had to pay for.

I’m so sick of the cost. People buy so much dumb shit for weddings and showers. I canceled a vacation with my boyfriend this summer because I’m spending so much goddamn money on my sister’s wedding (though much of that is because she lives across the country, and the rest of her bridal party is local, but yay for

Don’t forget lowest-costing-/most-unique-ring race.

Atlanta native, have loved the Brabes forever. I went to at least 10 games per year in recent years even when they sucked. I only abandoned them when they announced the Cobb move. I did, however, spend some bucks on a Fuck Cobb County shirt.

My mom was killed in a car accident when she was a healthy, vibrant 55, and from my friends, for the longest time, I got, “I know this doesn’t compare to your loss, but ...” And every time, I told them that everyone has pain, and nobody wants the pain, and it sucks for everybody. There’s not a competition. Mine isn’t

I'm so glad I was already planning on getting pho delivered tonight. Otherwise, this comment would have messed up my dinner plans.

So much better! Also, Canadian bacon/ham is so much better than regular bacon.

Anna Nardini was THE WORST. I hated her more than April. Gah I hated that whole plot line.

I don't really like bacon, either! I will tolerate it in, like, a BLT (though I haven't had one in years), but I don't get why people started putting bacon in everything. There are better breakfast meats.

For her sake, I hope not many. Cut the poor woman loose, Drumpf. We had the TV on the news in the background while we were making dinner last night, and at one point, the news anchor said, “Coming up, can you guess the one thing Melania Trump wants Donald to stop doing,” and my boyfriend immediately said, “Breathing.”

Yes! Yay for bold halters at prom! I wore a slightly different coral halter to a sorority formal in college in 2004 or 2005!

That actually does make sense! I don’t have kids, and if my boyfriend put a load in and didn’t know how to start it, I’d have a bigger problem on my hands :)

Zyrtec, astelin, inhaler, eye drops. I live in the 404 and on bad pollen days, AKA every goddamn day the past two weeks, when I can work from home I literally don't leave my house. Gym? Yoga and ondemand videos. Food? Zifty.
