I just had my 2008 Taurus reprogrammed (replacement PCM), it’s not difficult for the dealer - they plug their computer in, and with a set of keys (2 in the case of Fords), 10 minutes later, it’s a functioning car again. They may have to replace the locks, but minor inconvenience for a dealer.

I’m going on almost 20 years - granted, I went from 20/100 to 20/15, so now I’m just about 20/20 I guess.
