Yeah, I highly doubt many of these schmucks had ever actually seen a vagina outside of porn.

god its been all over reddit today. i can’t even escape it in my normal, non-awful subreddits.

Harassing someone in response to accusations of harassment is sort of like threatening violence against women game developers in response to accusations of threatening violence against women in games. If nothing else, they are consistent.

As an accountant, I can say that my field is certifiable reverse-racist. We are always asking, “are we in the black?” and then celebrate if so. WHY IS NO ONE ASKING IF WE ARE IN THE WHITE?!?

Can you imagine a teacher that feels this way teaching black students? How do you think she interacts with them, grades them, punishes them? There’s a reason why black children are more likely to be recommended for special ed —teachers/administrators that believe in segregation.

i agree with this and i think it’s unfair in a lot of cases—like, i don’t think an employment history that includes a year of stripping (or a pinterest board that talks about loving booze, or something) has any bearing on a teacher’s ability to teach. but this strikes me as something that would very obviously prevent

Well, they are the ones teaching children, so.....

It seems like teachers are the targets of these public shaming campaigns more often than other workers. I hear racist crap all the time on my FB feed and no one cares. But if it’s a teacher, all hell breaks loose.

I don’t actually think it’s offensive. Anytime someone makes a short concise jokey statement they are going to cut out some of the more accurate-making qualifiers and go for the general impression. The accurate thing to say would have been a lot of. I am willing to bet compared to other white girls of her description

“white ladies trying to steal my husband” Can we not do this, please? People cannot be “stolen” because they aren’t objects - men OR women. It’s an old trope that needs to go away.

Yes but when you make a generalization that another person (that also makes generalizations) disagrees with they almost HAVE to lose their shit over it it’s like an unwritten rule of generalizations.

I disagree. It’s a simplified way of relating her experience. Stereotypes are widely held beliefs.

But this is the thing, though, isn’t it? People do say things exactly like you mention, all the shitting time. Like, all the time. I’m not trying to make the argument that it’s all hunky-dory, but it is more complicated than some commenters are making it sound. Yes, theoretically it is always wrong to make

Would it still be offensive if she said something to the effect of, “I get hit on significantly more by black men than by white men.” I mean, if it’s true, then it’s true. Is there something wrong with her saying something that’s true if she doesn’t do so in a flippant manner?

She should be fired by the modeling agency that represents her. To surmise that all black men love her is offensive and overtly racist. It perpetuates the stereotype that every black man loves plus-sized body types when that’s clearly not the case. My one black friend dated a thin girl for a couple months back in the

Doesn’t fit the necessary Rageface narrative to receive enough views on Jez to get the author that proverbial phat cash.

Can we reframe this? Instead of “OMG she said Black men!” flip the narrative to “Isn’t it great that many Black men don’t seem to have to same sick obsession with thinness that White men do? These men have somehow escaped the view that there is only one acceptable body size. What is it that makes them so mentally
