You contradicted yourself right off the bat. Ignoring that, most dev teams for AAA games are fairly large and development advances in stages, meaning not everybody has something to work on at every moment. Just because you have your texture people updating the textures of an old game doesn’t mean that your new game

Old man yells at cloud energy here.

I think there should be a law suit on behalf of consumers over the fact that there is no return policy like steam for digital items. If your going to have only digital consoles then there has to be updated digital policies.

I just want to be able to buy digital PSN items outside the Playstation Store again, like from CDKeys.

When Todd said the game would be mod friendly, he meant BGS was leaving all the post-launch non-DLC work to modders.

I hate that the nemesis system is patented. Imagine how much better it could be if other game developers were allowed to innovate off of it instead of fearing a bunch of lawsuits.

On the bright side since Hogwarts Legacy not being nominated means no anti-Rowling protestors will try to sneak in and storm the stage if it actually had won.
Wonder if there will be another stagecrash anyway, the stage crasher from last year been banned so he’s not making another appearance, though you never know...

Yeah the way they even categorize some games makes me cringe. I think Lies Of P was in RPG? That’s a great game but I’d never call it a RPG. Good article especially bringing up Hogwarts Legacy I didn’t catch that either. Sure it wasn’t hugely complex but it was a game I played to completion in one go which is rare

Game Awards have all sorts of problems, but they most unfortunately suffer from the “If it’s not in GOTY contention (or at least sniffing it), it will be overlooked in technical categories.” Academy Awards have this problem big time, where an overlooked or even bad movie cannot win for something like costume design,

I will say it again, no indie games in the accessibility category is a crime. Indie games have been making huge and innovative steps to provide accessibility to their games for many groups that are often left on the sidelines by the mainstream markets. Between modes for the blind, colorblind, people prone to seizures

That’s an awful lot of “well akshually...” regarding Hogwart’s considering a remake was nominated for GOTY...  The game awards represents the media’s narrative, not the fandom.

These awards always seem to have been made by normal people and not actual gamers that have really played the games. So yeah, definitely think it’s just whoever pays the most that gets put on these lists.

How the hell Hogwarts Legacy isnt anywhere on there is NUTS.

Thank you. You know one thing a lot of people seem to be forgetting? Rocksteady has made some fucking fantastic games in the past. Maybe give them a shot?

As far as I can tell Lies of P released to fairly decent critical reception. I’d say that rebalancing a game after its release because it wasn’t quite up to snuff in the first place just says that they’re more inexperienced, but still give a shit about the quality and gameplay experience. If they didn’t care, then no

Didn’t think this would get such a long thread, but I guess I should bring it back to my original point. Regardless of quality, whether the game happened to be good or bad, Hogwarts Legacy would be ‘snubbed’ because people have principles. I mean, before the game even came out, there was already movement for a

I think they brought up Origins because it wasn’t Conroy in that one. Joker and Batman were voiced by different people. Both of whom did great, to be honest.

I’ve played every From Software soulsborne to completion, they’re quite literally my favorite kind of game. I stopped playing Lies of P after the church boss fight, the experience wasn’t clicking with me. A large part of that was that the attack timing, speed, enemy placement, and aiming of the red enemy attacks, just

In dark souls almost every boss difficulty can be heavily mitigated with summons, just like lies of P. There is also a perfect block grindstone you can use to get ~30 secs of perfect parries by just holding down block.

It wasn't forgotten though. It's literally the best-selling game of the year besides CoD. That's all there was in gaming for like 3 months, before the summer releases starting coming out. The game outsold all nominated ones.
