The problem, and I know this may sound like sacrilege to horror hounds, is that Leatherface is not all that interesting of a killer. TCM was always more about the whole crazy family and not just him.

The original movie wasn’t really scary either. It’s pretty much just 83 minutes of a woman running around the countryside screaming.
But the Phantom Liberty expansion is dropping soon...
this wouldn’t even be a tremendous departure from the official rules for 5e D&D - players already have the option to “take 10" on skill checks that they perform while not under pressure. It’s especially useful for the lock-picking example you cited. With a forgiving enough DM, players can just retry low-stakes skill…
I am also very disappointed at this. I still remember Skyrim (negatively) for this: I started playing for the imperial side and snuck closer to a rebel encampment only to... be greeted as if nothing were the matter. The fact that I could do quests for both almost made me quit playing. I just finished the imperial main…
Yeah but we still bleed for New Vegas because the game makes you choose at certain junctions that fundamentally changes the story playthrough. It is just better when the game has consequnces for your actions.
I love Nintendo, but man, their hyper-litigiousness is really grating.
The disconnect between Nintendo’s legal team and reality, and the amount of money they have to throw at nonsense, continues to be baffling and scary.
Agreed, the SteamDB chart for this game looks identical to the chart for the Dead Space remake, or Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, or Atomic Heart, or the Resident Evil 4 remake, all released early in 2023. It’s the standard pattern for non-live service or major multiplayer releases. (Even if a couple of those games I…
It’s a single player RPG, and like the headline says it’s been 6 months after release with several high profile games that have launched in the interim and soaked up the limelight.
Yeah, this argument collapses the instant you look at anything other than raw prices. Like, say, game industry profit margins and salaries.
Honestly, the most scandalous aspect of any of this is Lobe claiming to be “the creator of the deathclaw” and the article glibly accepting that as true.
I mean...Scott Rodenhizer should get “some” credit...People have been thinking about Deathclaw strange all the way back when Goris became his race’s first stripper.
Or go looking for the intelligent ones from Fallout 2. Then maybe it'll at least be consensual.
The negative connotations to “JRPG” tend to be things like bloat, repetetive conflicts, endless grind etc.
There's literally a setting to configure how many Quicksave slots to have. It's not the devs fault they didn't go through the settings
As mentioned in the piece, they do. But yeah, keeping 25 quicksave slots by default is an abnormally high amount for basically any game, so going with “dont trust quicksaves” as the framing of this is just nuts.
This is 100% on you. Assuming the game will let you fill up all your storage with game saves (by default!) is insane. At most, games will only have 100 save slots, though the vast majority just keep three to five
Please just put it on PC. Please.
