Nah, the regular version of Death Stranding is available on PC Game Pass/MS Store. It was published by 505, not Sony.

Hopefully this won’t launch as an EGS timed exclusive. I’d like to say that both Epic and Square are past that but I really don’t have that much faith in either of them.
What I find humorous is when people claim that Sony launching its first-party games on PC day one would be suicidal because nobody would buy them on Playstation. Apparently all console gamers are closet PC gamers who actually hate consoles and only use them when they have no other choice. Except for, you know, all the…
Defensive much..? You made an inaccurate generalization and got called out for it. It’s okay, it happens to the best of us.
Maybe, except I don’t remember that being featured in the debut trailer for the game. IIRC, the debut trailer that people freaked out about took place entirely in the initial village.
Of course. That’s why I asked for specific examples that support your claim. If I knew everything, I wouldn’t need to ask.
It’s unbelievable to me because, other than Nintendo, I can’t think of any other publishers that have done this. Off the top of my head, every game that’s been announced and shown to the public has also revealed the main developer.
Can you provide any specific titles? I assume all the games have since been released.
By “studio,” I’m talking about the main development studio, not outsource studios handling things like additional assets. I’ve never seen a game be announced and shown to the public without the main development studio being divulged.
If Good-Feel is in fact the developer, then they already have established history with Nintendo because they made Kirby’s Epic Yarn and Yoshi’s Crafted World. Revealing that they’re working on Princess Peach: Showtime wouldn’t change this. If people wanted to hack them to gain access to internal info about Nintendo’s…
The responsibility lies with developers and publishers to make sure the products they sell are compatible with said changes. If they want to benefit from the infinite shelf life of digital distribution, they need to put in the work. If they don’t want to ensure compatibility with modern hardware and OSes, then they…
That’s good if true but doesn’t account for future OSes. Will Valve require devs/pubs to update their games on Steam when Windows 12/13/14/15/etc come out? That’s the whole problem. Developers/publishers are allowed to continue selling games that no longer work properly on modern systems. For example, Robin Hood:…
Princess Peach: Showtime isn’t exactly a massive, high profile title. I’m pretty sure its developers aren’t a high priority target for hackers or journalists.
True, the black & white aesthetic was much more unique for a AAA game. However, they likely had to add a way to restore color to the game in order to get it greenlit by EA. It seems unlikely that EA would approve a game that’s permanently black and white.
Chris is white. White people killing black people is controversial. Had he been black, I doubt there would have been much controversy surrounding RE5 at all.
Deciding the fate and leadership of the Krogan doesn’t mean anything because its not at the immediate end of a game that is all about endings?
It’s on sale for just $10 on PS4 and $25 on PC until April 1, 2024.
If you’re talking about the topless dancers, that’s enabled by default in the PC version.
Not sure what you mean. The game is black & white by default to convey the oppressive and hopeless nature of the German occupation. When you liberate areas, their color is restored. I’m not sure what else you’d want done..?
Curious if the Steam version has all the GOG fixes. Unlike GOG, Steam doesn’t guarantee that every game will run properly on modern OSes.
