It may be marketing, but every Harrier pilot that has done a vertical landing in an F-35 has commented about how much easier it is in the F-35.

I would guess that the US bike makers know they can’t compete in that market and instead sit on their ridiculously high margins for their cruisers, baggers, and touring bikes. Not to mention that Harley makes huge bank on accessories and branding.

Maybe it is because to stop a wheelie you slow down. To stop a stoppie you have to stop slowing down. You can panic stop from a wheelie, but not from a stoppie. (I’m making this up).
