Note: I read the summary of the study but have not poured through all the data and the specific criteria for each category. The Berkley study didn’t really make a clear conclusion, at least in the summary, that splitting was inherently safer. What I got out of it was that riders who split tend to be safer riders in

The difference is that when you’re in traffic, the speed differential is greater when you split.

1. Beer is not a fair comparison. If he paid for it, he gets it. Full stop. I saw no other information about anyone else asking for a full, unopened soda. The question about the zone had more to do with whether the other passenger paid for the beer or it was free. Up front my beer has always come in a glass, in the

Was this in first class or or coach? Generally you pay for beer when sitting in the back and you expect and should get the whole can. The weapons excuse was not the truth, was stupid, and may have simply been a severe F-Up rather than outright bigotry. (Not necessarily racism, Muslim is not a race). I’ve had flight

Why are they just watching it go in circles? They take the kill switch off or something?

Per 100,000 what? Total population? Vehicle miles driven? Cars on the road? Passenger miles driven? Miles of highway? Does the statistic control for conditions? Roads, weather, pedestrian density, etc...

Don’t know what to tell you. It did. I also have a cordless electric lawn mower I bought in 1999, first battery went out in three years, second battery is still good enough to get my (small) lawn done. I attribute the life of the second battery to continuous charging since that was the thing I changed once I got the

Nice post for drawing clicks. Thumbs up! Of course I don’t care if your kid is on the floor. But here’s the thing with all of this. I have been on many, many flights with kids who were great. You wouldn’t have know they were there if you hadn’t seen them board. And these are some long flights, 4+ hours. Same goes for

When I lived in a cold climate I would connect a small charger all winter, one specifically designed for the purpose. I never had a fail in the spring and had the battery last >10 years.

You order 54 of them and I’ll wager you can negotiate any color you want.

I can almost guarantee you that the overhead activity associated with the procurement process and paperwork will be more money than the actual purchase of 54 of these motorcycles.

I had a ‘78 Buick with a 350 with one of these. I was out in the middle of nowhere, foot on the floor, with the needle ticking against the pin just over 85. I saw blue and red lights in the very distant rear view. Knowing I could not beat the radio and there were very few places to go, I slowed to 65. When the trooper

If you think getting struck with a water balloon is assualt, you definitely should not be a cop. Or live a life in society.

So you’re suggesting that people ought to be allowed to go throw water balloons at anyone anytime? Or are you suggesting that they just let those involved work it out together? I’d be fine with that second option in this case.

Wow, that escalated quickly. Moto, and I only say this because I care, but there’s a lot of decaffeinated brands on the market that are just as tasty as the real thing.

I wonder how you’d “demilitarize” an A-10. I don’t know if it would even fly without the weight of the gun up front. Maybe just mock up something out of wrought iron that is the approximate shape of the GAU-8 and bolt it in.

They did take the free personality assessment and found that they were repressing anger over mismanagement of the program.

Ugly, perhaps, but it was far better than the alternative...

Depends on what you mean by operational. Remember that this is OT, the T being Test. There aren’t any that are actually operational meaning they could be sent into combat. There are over 100 that are being used for various kinds of testing and training.

I’d really like to see that. Maybe not a LASER but at least directed energy weapons. Take that drive shaft and plug it into a generator... >25K horsepower.
