Famous people shouldn’t get lesser punishments than the rest of us. Nobody wants to play against an aim-botter, whether it’s a pro on a smurf account or not. Frankly, even if he’s telling people not to do this, he’s still sending the message that it’s okay to do it.

Publicly accusing someone is not behaving badly or being abusive. It’s a normal thing to do when someone mistreats you, wanting others to know what a shit he/she is. And there was no “mob justice” here. His fellow devs, who had been close to him for years, said this about cutting ties:

I’m glad they did the experiment. Yes, it didn’t work, but that’s why it was an experiment. Some limitations were known - efficiency, sub-optimal sunlight, etc. Many of the variables were unknown - resin durability, tire noise, etc. The test was conducted, results derived. This is a win IMO.

I think getting free joy-con repairs is probably going to be of greater benefit to most consumers than waiting out for any class-action suit payout.
