@Rosaxe: You'd be surprised. Some people with educations only hear what reinforces their worldview.
@BrightonShiny: yup, should be modded up—brilliant.
@Princess Leela: I know. But I was just trying to say that we have a romanticized version of what a 'colony' is because we just transfer our warm fuzzies about our 13 original colonies over to any British colony. There is a positive bias, even if the reality of even our own, not to say the African, India, Caribbean,…
People in our dear, dear homeland don't understand that there were colonies beyond our 13.
I love, love, love my Sinead. She is a bit off—but she is the original Fierce one. And when she is soft and gentle, she can cut your heart in two.
Everyone should own—ok, maybe not everybody—Ooh la la, Max in Love,
@burningdinner: I did that too!
Ok, more self-promotion. I took summer computer programming classes in high school (St. Brendan '84)and a History of Computers in 1986. Ada Lovelace was prominently featured. @Jeangenie: sorry, that was directed at the whole thread. @bessmarvin,girldetective , it did seem angry, you know your posting and responding. We are all supposed to be among friends here.
@resonanteye: WTF y'all, good thing I don't stay up late commenting on Jezebel. Ease off, snark on.
@Spacegirl.goes.home: I love Blur.
@heatherwritesstuff: But I do think at some points the wives and families need to wake up and realize that they are married to or related to a molester.
Ok—for a really grim reality check, have a boy and a girl child. As each enters puberty, take them clothes shopping.
@ocho97: Netflix has it. Brilliant, brilliant.
No one mentioned the Weasley sweater he's sporting.
Ok, girls.
@torieandrahmsittinginatree: Exactly the point I made in response to SarahMcC. I physically ache for my kids when I worry about them. And I am a calm, rational reasonably well adjusted non-hovering person who allows her kids to have all sorts of freedom.
@georgina: the only thing is—are any of you moms? Once I had my kids I was overwhelmed by the urge to protect. Knocked me off my feet.
@ketamineKitty: I wonder what kind of 'artist' she is?
