This tiger is about to make a very regrettable mistake.

Yea, but in the thirty intervening years between these two films, a good portion of people recognize that actors of color should probably play their respective ethnicity.
This is probably true, but not for the reason you imply.
Whether or not you liked it, which I did, it was still a better twist than Khan.
Meanwhile, the actual best villain reveal of all summer...
See, the blatant racial stereotypes really trump any kind of ridiculousness of "The Hounds of the Baskerville." I can excuse poor writing if it's got entertaining performances and memorable lines from the cast. I can't excuse racism.
Yea, but he also wrote "The Great Game" which is one of my favorites. Both of Moffat's episodes ("A Study in Pink" and "A Scandal in Belgravia") fell kind of flat for me, although ASIP introduces the characters really well. I can't rewatch them like the two finales.
The plot and villains and the derogatory portrayal of fat people was bad, but there were absolutely perfect moments between Tennant and Tate that make me rewatch it a bit more often than I'm willing to admit......
The Beast of Busco's first name is Oscar, and when I was a kid, I sort of half-believed he was a descendant of Morla.
It doesn't really have anything to do with the types of roles she plays, but rather the atmosphere of the media and its treatment of actresses. Jennifer Lawrence gets these kinds of questions playing Katniss Everdeen and so does Anne Hathaway (when she was doing interviews for Les Miserables, not even just The Dark…
Those look awesome and delicious!
Hopefully. But I have a feeling this is going to be Andy Serkis in LOTR all over again.
Yup. Even though he provided the motion capture, they still wouldn't find him eligible.
This is exactly why she hates doing the press junket.
This really sucks because whenever Scarlett Johansson is physically in a movie, she gets all of these really invasive questions and comments from the press about her body and how she looks in her costume which she is clearly sick of hearing. And now she gets a role where the focus can't help but be on her performance…
I don't know if I can agree with you about the Smith/Tennant comparison, but I second the Return of the Ood. Definitely my favorite Nu-Who alien creation.
This has got to be one of my favorite Superlists ever.
This was a pretty fun episode, again, mostly due to Michael Ealy, although I enjoyed Karl Urban's hilariously gross Macgyvering of Dorian's brain wiring.
I'll probably rewatch this much more than the special.
Yea, basically.
