I'm in a similar position, I used to drink almost every day (not much mind you, just something with dinner). I miss it for the sleep induction. So I also tried to replace that with exercise, but in my case, I exercise after a full day at work, so 8-8:30pm I workout and then eat. I have problems falling asleep until…

I was wrong after all...

My wife has a regular 2013 Focus, that thing is not bad at all, and the steering is so quick I can see how the ST got a little tail happy with added power/speed. I am fairly impressed with this platform and expect the RS to be pretty awesome regardless of FWD or AWD.
That is a valid point. Though my faith in any car company would not be as strong as yours, I applaud you.
Good catch!
FWD is my vote.
Reason: car manufacturers are always trying to be cost effective (cheap) and AWD is more complexity, weight, and cost. Also the precedent is already set for a FWD Focus RS due to the model that didn't come to the states last time.
hah, that is a good one!
no probs. Search my screename on Youtube for my channel, I have some of my old Matrix vids on there and you can drop me a line if you're ever in the market for that supercharger.
when it was new it was worth $2000, I think I bought it used for $1500 and enjoyed the hell out of it. It ran when last used and was taken off when I traded in the car. Some of the original "kit" is missing (larger injectors, TRD piggyback ECU) and it would need a new belt. I think I still have a new intake manifold…
heh, I had a TRD badge on my Matrix and a TRD sticker on my helmet. We've all been there.
I think the closest thing to that was the 2004 Matrix M, which had a limited edition color and wheels. However, at the time you could still get TRD intakes, axle-back exhausts, springs, and a supercharger.
Then Scion came to market and support for the Matrix died.
I see what you did there.... sadly Toyota hasn't lol.
ahh the glory days!
You wouldn't be interested in a TRD supercharger, would you? Mine is sitting in the garage gathering dust since I traded in my 03 Matrix 3 yrs ago.
TRD hasn't been relevant to me since Toyota stopped offering supercharger kits, intakes, exhausts and springs. I think I was the last Toyota generation (2003 model) to enjoy such useful pieces of kit.
Going straight to the motor swap huh? So I guess there will be a lack of aftermarket support for the skyactiv 2L after all :-(
And here I was hoping that someone (flying miata, tripoint engineering, corksport?) would offer a nice centrifugal supercharger kit for this engine as it already exists in the Mazda3/6/CX5 and…
Why is everyone so surprised/upset? Its the same 2L Skyactiv engine that we have been expecting Mazda to use (but hoping they wouldn't)! Its the same one in the Mazda3, and lower spec CX5 and Mazda6. Economies of scale people, of course they had to use the same engine instead of a new variant.
Thank you so much for the reply and helpful hints on what is to come!
I feel compelled to respond to your comment most because my wife is trying to lose weight before we get pregnant and I am committed to our new-found healthy lifestyle to show my support. We are both losing weight, but I am losing it a bit faster and I thought this article helped me better understand the disparity.
Now…
