Even with the type of play the South Koreans described, each side only received two yellow cards each. Can you imagine having to referee in that environment? Send off a North Korean player and you could end up in a forced-labor camp for the rest of your life.

An argument could be made that Ertz should have started at CB over Dahlkemper with Lloyd slotting in at CM, but that feels like a needlessly offensive adjustment to begin a game with when there is already so much firepower up front.

Add in David’s ability to sling the rock with pinpoint precision and you could really give opposing defenses problems.

I couldn’t help but read this as a basketball starting 5. In which case I definitely like having Buddha coming off of the bench. Seems like he’d have the temperament to be the quintessential 6th man.

Ross - @HotspurRelated just tweets stories from every source no matter the tier. It’s maddening to read a tantalizing rumor and then see that it came from the fucking Sun.

Yeah I think Lo Celso and Sessegnon can definitely happen independent of the Eriksen situation getting resolved but it’s extremely hard to believe that any Dybala deal wouldn’t hinge on a quick offload of Eriksen to recoup some of those funds. I love Eriksen but he’s made it clear that he wants out and he disappeared

It used to be much easier with points where you’d “change” your flight to the same flight and get reimbursed the point difference, but now with points flights you can’t change your flight. You have to first cancel and then rebook it. Still works the same but it’s just a bit scarier now.

“the earliest shows are the best because they are the least polished”

2013 against the Ravens has a special place in my heart. That was where Justin Tucker hit a career-long 61-yarder standing atop the Lions logo to put the Ravens up 2 with 0:38 left. Lions had 3 timeouts and 0:38 to get into field goal range. Stafford threw a pick on the first play of the drive.

I would have been ok with it if you had decided to just Chuck this joke.

My fellow Lions fan buddy and I went to Lambeau for the first time a couple years ago for Lions vs. Pack for Monday Night Football. Everybody was beyond nice to us and it was delightful, but also patronizing knowing that with Bears and Vikings fans there is at least some animosity because Packers fans actually take

Even with an Eriksen sale there would be no way Spurs would bid anywhere near €60 million for Bale with his wages what they are. Real is just trying to drum up interest from China to get a club there to move on a deal since at this point that is the only possible destination for Bale. He’s not going to cut his wages.

TreasuryDirect.gov is a great option for cash that a lot of people don’t know about. 4-Week T-Bill yields are over 2% and you can set up auto-reinvest for up to two years but the reinvest can be stopped anytime. With such a short maturity you can ladder your money so that 1/4 of it would be available in a week or less

Alligator Bob is nothing but a GLORYBOY. He spent the entire week posing for selfies with people. “Alligator Bob” is originally from fucking Bridgeport. When you’re from Florida, it’s just implied that “alligator” goes in front of your first name - as it should be.

And just to add onto this, the reason they needed to use the stretch provision and drag it out over 3 years (double the length of the remaining years plus one) is because that $4.4 million would have put them over the Luxury Tax threshold and triggered the repeater penalty (being over the luxury tax threshold in 3 of

It’s really odd that nobody has mentioned this - that for Chris Paul’s first two seasons they were the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets due to Hurricane Katrina.

It is, but the squad continuity is part of the reason that the women’s team is so effective. The men’s team has its players scattered across North America and Europe in various leagues, so calling everybody in to play a friendly is usually just not in the cards. The roster is in constant flux. The women’s squad is

This is completely incorrect. The best US women’s players could make much more playing in Europe than in the NWSL, but right now their national team spot is (all but officially) contingent upon them playing in the NWSL (where the salary they draw is paid by US Soccer and the schedule is built around the national team

They were unapologetically American. Brash and confident. They came in as the favorite and they didn’t try to downplay that fact with an “Aww shucks we’re just happy to be here and we’re gonna try real hard.” attitude. They owned that and then danced on the graves of anybody who dared doubt them. And it was fucking

There’s definitely a higher chance of Blake not opting into his final year in ‘21-’22 while Russ is assuredly opting into his in ‘22-’23, which would mean two years and OVER $90 MILLION of 33-34 year-old Russ on a team presumably in full rebuild mode.
